Being Thankful at Age 19
This year, I am thankful for a ton of different things. (This is a long one. Bear with me people!)
Thankful guests. Working at Disney during the holidays is difficult. Being away from family for almost six months, dealing with guests that are less than pleasant, I could go on and on. But guests that thank you for what you do really do make a difference. In example, I was cleaning my bathroom (it was crazy busy yesterday), and a woman came up to me and said, "It's got to be difficult working this week. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving." I thanked her and walked away. And then I thought of her simple and kind words and I teared up. Maybe it was just me being all mushy, but things like that can really make a employee's day, whether it's at Disney or in line at Old Navy.
My Showkeeping family at Disney's Hollywood Studios. I'm going to admit, showkeeping was NOT the job I wanted down at Disney. But God knew what he was doing when he placed me in this role. These people have been amazing to me over the past three months. They have become friends, mentors, sisters and brothers to me.

My family. My mom and my dad are currently on their way to come and visit me as I type. I'm so excited to see them. They have been supportive and loving this whole entire time. Not to not mention, they are coming down to see me three times for the five month span I will be here.
One of my best friends, Kristi Cruse. Even though we are like 500 miles away, we are still really close. She knows EVERYTHING. Boy problems, friend problems, and most of all school problems. I'm pretty sure this friendship will last forever.
My church family down here, and of course, the college class. Going down to Orlando, I expected to find a church that has a college class. But what I found was amazing people who challenge me to study and observe the word of God on a whole new level.
Ellisa Davis. They have been amazing!! We have gotten so close. We've shared our love God, chocolate, and Chic-Fil-A. It's going to be epically difficult to leave her down here, but hopefully we will be able to hang out soon after my program ends...
And last but most certainly not least, Jesus and His grace. When I first came down here, I wasn't going to church or thinking clean thoughts, but with some help from family and friends, I am in a strong relationship with Him. Not saying everyday is peachy. There are some days when Satan keeps throwing things at me and I don't respond the way I should. But thankfully, Jesus provides his grace and forgives me. I would be so lost without Him!
